No exclamation point needed, though you can add one if you like. We feel the exclamatory nature is inherent in the statement itself, particularly when, according to PEN America, “…in the 2024-2025 school year, PEN America recorded 6,870 instances of book bans affecting nearly 4,000 unique titles…”
